Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited’s Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) announces contractual openings for Junior Technicians under its FTC recruitment initiative. This opportunity is open for skilled Indian citizens who meet the eligibility criteria. Selected candidates will be engaged initially for one year, with the possibility of extension up to three more years based on performance.

This recruitment aims to fill 1,850 vacancies across multiple trades, including Electrician, Fitter General, Machinist, Welder, and more. Interested candidates must apply online only through the official portal before the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • NAC/NTC/STC in the relevant trade (Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Welder, etc.) from NCVT/SCVT.
  • Minimum 65% marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
  • For certain trades (e.g., Operator Material Handling Equipment), Class 10 + 2 years of experience is required.

Age Limit (as of 19 July 2025)

  • Maximum Age: 35 years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • SC/ST: +5 years
    • OBC (NCL): +3 years
    • PwBD: +10 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC)
    • Ex-Servicemen: Age deduction for service period (max. 55 years)

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive:

  • Basic Pay: ₹21,000/month
  • Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA) (as applicable)
  • Special Allowance: 5% of Basic Pay
  • Annual Increment: 3% on Basic Pay (upon extension)
  • Additional Benefits:
    • ₹3,000/month for medical, conveyance, etc.
    • Provident Fund (PF) contributions
    • Gratuity after one year of service

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting: Based on merit (NAC/NTC marks) and apprenticeship experience.
    • Priority: (1) HVF ex-apprentices, (2) OFB ex-apprentices, (3) Other NAC/NTC qualified candidates.
  2. Document Verification: Original certificates will be checked.
  3. Trade Test (Practical): Qualifying (FIT/UNFIT) – No marks awarded.
  4. Final Merit List: NAC/NTC scores, age, and alphabetical order (in case of ties).

Key Reminders

  • Police Verification Report (PVR) and Medical Fitness Certificate must be submitted during Document Verification.
  • Biometric Verification will be done during the Trade Test.
  • No regularization guarantee – This is a purely contractual position.
