Eligibility & Qualifications

Manager (Telecom)

  • Pay Level: 10, 9, or 8 equivalent
  • Education: A degree in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Service Requirement: Minimum 5 years in Group A or Group B cadre post-regular appointment
  • Desirable Experience:
    • Analogous technical telecom roles
    • Work in Extra-Low Voltage systems (CCTV, Wi-Fi, BMS)
    • Expertise in tendering and contract management
    • General computer proficiency

Assistant Manager (Telecom)

  • Pay Level: 7 (7th CPC) equivalent
  • Two possible qualification streams:
    1. Engineering Degree + 3 years experience in telecom engineering/ infrastructure
    2. Diploma in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in telecom engineering or related infrastructure work.
  • Desirable Experience: Similar to Manager (Telecom)

Salary & Pay Scale

  • Manager (Telecom) – Pay Level 11 as per 7th CPC, with a salary range of approximately ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700.
  • Assistant Manager (Telecom) – 7th CPC Level 9 (approx. ₹53,100–₹1,67,800)
  • RLDA offers attractive perks and allowances above the basic pay, including Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, TA, and Medical Facilities as applicable to railway cadres.

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will:

  • Oversee telecom infrastructure development for RLDA projects including land management, station redevelopment, and airspace utilisation
  • Handle extra-low voltage systems such as CCTV, Wi-Fi, intercom, public display systems, and building management services
  • Participate in tendering processes, ensuring compliance and managing contracts
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of telecom-related project deliverables
