ERNET India Recruitment 2025: Notification for Technical Assistant, Accountant, and Personal Assistant Posts

ERNET India, an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has released an official notification inviting applications for various Group B (Non-Gazetted) positions. The recruitment is being conducted to fill posts of Technical Assistant, Accountant, and Personal Assistant on Regular, Transfer (Absorption), or Deputation basis.

ERNET India is involved in establishing and managing cutting-edge computer communication networks nationwide. Age Limit (as on the last date of application submission)

  • Technical Assistant: Maximum 30 years (relaxation applicable as per Government of India norms)
  • Accountant: Maximum 27 years (relaxation applicable)
  • Personal Assistant: Maximum 27 years (relaxation applicable)

Age relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other categories will be applicable as per government rules.

Salary Structure

All posts carry the following pay scale:

  • Pay Matrix Level-6 as per 7th Central Pay Commission:
    Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates will be eligible for other benefits such as:

Eligibility Criteria

1. Technical Assistant

For Direct Recruitment

  • Educational Qualification: Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. in a related field (Computer Communication & Networking, Data Communication, Internet & Web Technology, VSAT Communication) with at least 60% marks OR DOEACC ‘A’ Level Certificate.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 30 years.

For Transfer (Absorption)/Deputation

  • Should hold an analogous post OR
  • Serving in Level-4 with a continuous service period of four years.
  • Possess the same educational qualifications as required for direct recruitment.

2. Accountant

For Direct Recruitment

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a responsible position in Finance, Accounts, or Commercial fields with working knowledge of computerized accounting.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 27 years.

For Transfer (Absorption)/Deputation

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis OR
  • Working in Level-4 with 6 years of regular service in the same or equivalent field.
  • Possess the same qualifications as direct recruitment.
  • Desirable: Experience in budgeting, accounting, or finance in reputed organizations.

3. Personal Assistant

For Direct Recruitment

  • Educational Qualification: Graduate from a recognized university.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in a responsible position in the relevant field.
  • Skills: Shorthand speed of 120/100 w.p.m. in English or Hindi and proficiency in computer operations.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 27 years.
  • Desirable: Experience in a similar role in Science & Technology organizations.

For Transfer (Absorption)/Deputation

  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis OR
  • Working in Level-4 with 6 years of regular service.
  • Graduate with required shorthand proficiency and computer knowledge.

Selection Process

  • Shortlisting of applications will be based on educational qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test, skill test, or interview as applicable.
  • Only candidates who are screened in will be contacted. No interim communication will be entertained.

How to Apply

Eligible and interested applicants should fill out the prescribed application form (Annexure-I) and submit it through offline mode.

Application Submission Instructions:

  1. Fill the application form completely and accurately.
  2. Attach self-attested copies of the following:
    • Educational qualifications
    • Date of birth certificate
    • Experience certificates
    • Caste/PwBD certificate (if applicable)
    • Passport-size photograph
  3. The envelope must clearly indicate the name of the position being applied for.
  4. The application should be submitted within 30 days from the date of advertisement published in the Employment News.
  5. Applications submitted via email or after the deadline will not be accepted.

Additional Instructions

  • Applicants working in Government departments, PSUs, or Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel or provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the selection process.
  • ACRs/APARs and vigilance clearance (in case of deputation) must be submitted along with the application.
  • The deputation terms will follow Government of India guidelines.
  • One post out of the three advertised is reserved horizontally for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
  • The organization holds the authority to modify the number of vacancies or withdraw the recruitment process at any stage without any prior intimation.
  • Experience will be counted only after acquiring the required educational qualifications.
