Jamia Millia Islamia Non-Teaching Recruitment 2025: Apply for 143 Vacancies in Group A, B & C Posts

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), a premier central university located in New Delhi, has invited applications for a variety of non-teaching positions under Advt. No. 01/2025-26 (NT) dated 27 June 2025. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply in the prescribed format for a total of 143 vacancies in Group A, B, and C categories, including posts such as Deputy Registrar, Section Officer, Assistant, LDC (Lower Division Clerk), and MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) positions.

Applications must reach the Recruitment & Promotion (Non-Teaching) Section, 2nd Floor, Registrar’s Office, Jamia Millia Islamia, Maulana Mohamed Ali Jauhar Marg, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi – 110025, by 31 July 2025 (Monday to Friday, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding lunch hours from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM).

Candidates who applied earlier against Advt. No. 01/2023-24 (NT) and meet current eligibility are required to apply afresh but are exempted from paying the application fee if they enclose their previous acknowledgment receipt.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Deputy Registrar

  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
  • Minimum 5 years regular service as Assistant Registrar in Level 10 or above in a Govt./University/PSU.
  • Desirable: Experience across university departments; Knowledge of Hindi and Urdu.

2. Section Officer

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • 3 years experience as Assistant (Level 6) or 8 years as UDC (Level 4).
  • Proficiency in computer operations, noting and drafting.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi and Urdu.

3. Assistant

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Having served for three years as an Upper Division Clerk in Level 4 or for eight years as a Lower Division Clerk in Level 2 of the Pay Matrix.
  • Typing, noting/drafting, and computer proficiency.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi and Urdu.

4. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • English typing speed: 35 wpm.
  • Computer operations proficiency.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi and Urdu.

5. Multi Tasking Staff (MTS)

  • 10th pass or ITI.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Hindi and Urdu.

Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. of India norms.
  • For regular employees of JMI, there is no upper age restriction, provided they have completed three years of continuous service.

Selection Process

The selection for each post will be made through:

  • Written Tests
  • Skill/Trade Tests
  • Interview (wherever applicable)
