Eligibility Criteria (As on 31st July 2025)
1. Nationality
- Must be an Indian citizen.
2. Educational Qualifications
Each stream has specific academic requirements:
General Stream
- Master’s Degree in any discipline
OR - Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Engineering
OR - Membership of ICAI/ICSI/ICMAI (ACA, FCA, ACS, FCS, ACMA, FCMA)
OR - CFA Charterholder
Finance and Accounts
- Graduation from a recognized university
AND - ACA or FCA from ICAI, ACS or FCS from ICSI, ACMA or FCMA from ICMAI, or a CFA qualification.
Information Technology (Preferably in AI and ML)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, ECE, IT, or CS)
OR - Master’s in Computer Applications
OR - Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline + 2-year PG qualification in IT/Computer Science
Specializations in AI/ML are highly preferred.
Research (Economics & Statistics)
- Postgraduate degree in Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Finance-focused Business Administration, or Econometrics.
Actuary
- Graduate + Passed or exempted in all 7 ‘Core Principles’ exams of the Institute of Actuaries of India
Legal
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Official Language (Rajbhasha)
- Postgraduate degree in Hindi with English studied at the undergraduate level.
OR - Master’s degree in Sanskrit, English, Economics, or Commerce, with Hindi as one of the subjects during the bachelor’s program.
Salary Structure
Basic Pay Scale (Grade ‘A’ Officer):
- ₹44,500 – annual increment of ₹2,500 for 4 years – ₹54,500 – followed by ₹2,850 increment for 7 years – ₹74,450 – on crossing EB – ₹2,850 increment for 4 Years – ₹85,850 – followed by a single annual increment of ₹3,300 – culminating in a final pay of ₹89,150.
- Total Career Progression: 17 years
Gross Monthly Emoluments:
- Approximately ₹1,57,000 per month at the entry-level

Probation Period

Selection Process
Phase I: Online Screening Test
- Objective-type test
- Conducted separately for each stream
- Designed to shortlist candidates for Phase II
Phase II: Online Examination
- Stream-specific paper
- Only those who qualify Phase I will appear
Phase III: Interview
- Candidates who clear Phase II will be invited for the final Interview.
- The weightage of marks for the Online Exam and Interview will be decided by PFRDA.
