Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in one of the following disciplines from a recognized university/institute:
- Electrical
- Electronics
- Electrical & Communications
- Electronics & Communications
- Telecommunications
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Instrumentation
OR
- Equivalent qualifications recognized by technical institutions before 31st May 2013:
- Successfully completed the Institution of Engineers (India) exams for both Sections A and B.
- Successfully cleared the Graduate Membership Examination conducted by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
- Associate Membership Examination Parts II & III or Sections A & B of the Aeronautical Society of India
Candidates must ensure they meet the educational eligibility as of the date of application.
Service Requirement
The post is open only to officers who are currently serving under the Central Government, holding analogous posts or eligible as per DoT/DoPT deputation rules.
The candidates must have a proven track record and should have received consistently good performance ratings in their Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) for the past five years.
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: Applicants should not be older than 56 years as on the closing date for application submission, i.e., 25.07.2025.
Pay Scale and Benefits
The post of JE (Telecom) falls under Level-6 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix:

Selection Process
The selection will be made through deputation, and the following steps will be followed:
