Jagatsinghpur District Court Recruitment 2025: Apply for Junior Clerk and Stenographer Grade-III Posts

The Office of the District Judge, Jagatsinghpur has released an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to various Group “C” posts including Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist and Stenographer Grade-III. The appointments will be made on a regular basis in accordance with the provisions laid out under the “Odisha District and Civil Courts’ Judicial Staff Services (Method of Recruitment As per the “Conditions of Service Rules, 2008” along with its later amendments.

Note: The number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on administrative requirements. Reservations for Persons with Disabilities, Ex-servicemen, and Sports Persons will be applicable as per government rules.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist and Stenographer Grade-III

• Must be a citizen of India.
• Must have passed +3 examination or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Must have passed Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized institute.
• Must be between 18 to 32 years as on 24th July 2025.
  • Upper age relaxation applicable for SC, ST, SEBC, and other eligible categories as per government norms.
• Must be able to speak, read and write Odia, and have passed an Odia language test equivalent to the M.E. standard.
• The applicant should be of good moral character, medically fit, and in sound physical condition.
• If the candidate is married, they must not have more than one living spouse.
• For Stenographer Grade-III:
  • Should possess shorthand speed of 80 words per minute and typewriting speed of 40 words per minute in English.
• Should not have any pending criminal cases.
• Government servants must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer.

Selection Process & Exam Scheme:

The recruitment process includes the following stages:

For Junior Clerk-cum-Copyist:

1. Written Examination (Part-I)
   • English: 100 marks (2 hours)
   • Arithmetic: 100 marks (1 hour)
   • General Knowledge: 100 marks (1 hour)
2. Computer Science (Practical) (Part-II): 100 marks (1 hour)
3. Viva-Voce Test (Part-III): 45 marks

Syllabus Details:

• English paper will include essay writing, letter or application writing, translation between Odia and English, and summary writing.
• Arithmetic: Fractions, Decimals, Profit & Loss, Percentages, Time & Work, Averages, etc.
• General Knowledge: Current affairs and matters of everyday observation.
• Computer Science (Practical): Typing, formatting, saving, printing, file transfer, internet browsing, email usage, use of external storage devices, etc.

Additional Instructions:

• The authority reserves the right to shortlist candidates if applications received are in large numbers.
• No TA/DA will be provided to candidates for attending the examination.
• Original documents must be produced at the time of Viva Voce.
• Candidates are advised to retain a copy of the filled-in application for their records.
