Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

• For Class 1-5 (Primary Level):
  • Advanced Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD).
  • Diploma in Special Education (D.Ed. SE) or equivalent from an RCI-recognized institute.
  • Must possess a valid RCI CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) number.
• For Class 6-8 (Upper Primary Level):
  • Scale with at least 50 marks (45 for reticent orders).
  • B.Ed. in Special Education from an RCI-recognized institute.
  • Must have a valid RCI CRR number.

2. Age Limit (as of 01-08-2025)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age:
  • General (Male): 37 years
  • General (Female)/OBC/EBC: 40 years
  • SC/ST: 42 years
  • PwD Candidates: Additional 10 years relaxation
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + service period relaxation

3. Bihar BSSTET Qualification

• Candidates must have qualified BSSTET Paper-I (for Class 1-5) or BSSTET Paper-II (for Class 6-8).

PayScale

• Salary: ₹28,000/- per month (as per Bihar government norms).

Selection Process

1. Written Examination (Objective Type – MCQ Based)
   • For Class 1-5:
     • Part-I: Language Proficiency (Qualifying – 30% minimum)
     • Part- II: General Studies( Primary Mathematics, Mental Capability, Science, Social Science, etc.)
   • For Class 6-8:
     • Part-I: Language Proficiency (Qualifying)
     • Part-II: General Studies
     • Part-III: Subject-specific paper (Maths & Science, Social Science, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, English)
   • No negative marking
   • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
     • General: 40%
     • OBC: 36.5%
     • EBC: 34%
     • SC/ST/PwD/Women: 32%
2. Merit List Preparation
   • Based on written exam scores.
   • Tie-breaker: Higher marks in Language (Part-I) or age (seniority).
