Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • LL.B. from a recognized university in India.

Professional Requirements

  • Must be registered as an Advocate with the Bar Council.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in handling criminal matters as an Advocate.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age as of the last date of application: 62 years.

Other Conditions

  • No criminal cases should be pending against the applicant.
  • Must submit an unconditional amenability/concurrence to work under the Government of India’s terms and conditions.

Pay Scale & Fee Structure

The professional fee for the Special Public Prosecutor (Retainer Counsel) will be as per the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) guidelines.

Selection Process

  2. Interaction with Committee: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interaction.
