EXIM Bank Recruitment 2025: Notification Out for Compliance Officer and Chief Economist Posts
Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM Bank), a premier financial institution engaged in financing, facilitating, and promoting India’s international trade, has released a recruitment notification for two senior-level positions: Compliance Officer Chief General Manager (Grade TE VII) and Chief Economist (on contract basis). Eligibility Criteria
1. Compliance Officer – Chief General Manager (Grade TE VII)
Educational Qualification:
- Must be a qualified Company Secretary (CS) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
- Minimum 60% marks in Graduation or equivalent CGPA.
Experience:
- Minimum 25 years of total work experience.
- At least 15 years of post-qualification experience as a Company Secretary in a commercial bank, financial institution, or reputed corporate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for a listed entity.
- Report to stock exchanges, depositories, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee correct filing of disclosures and handle investor grievance mechanisms.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate laws, financial analysis, and communication.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Compensation:
- Pay Scale: ₹1,56,500 – ₹1,73,860 (Grade TE VII)

2. Chief Economist – On Contract
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Economics with a minimum of 60% marks in both graduation and post-graduation.
- A Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or Banking is desirable.
Experience:
- At least 25 years of experience as an Economist in banks, financial institutions, rating agencies, or reputed corporates.
- Research publications in financial journals will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Economic Intelligence Unit.
- Advise top management on macroeconomic, banking, and policy developments.
- Represent the bank at external forums.
- Provide strategic inputs and develop research reports on trade and economic issues.
Skills Required:
- In-depth knowledge of domestic and global economic trends.
- Strong understanding of trade and fiscal policies, econometric analysis, and international finance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Compensation:
- Annual salary of ₹42 lakh with a 70:30 ratio between fixed and variable pay.
- Initial contract period of 3 years, extendable by 2 years based on performance review.
Selection Process
- Applications will be evaluated and shortlisted based on eligibility criteria and relevant work experience.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview at EXIM Bank’s Mumbai Head Office or New Delhi office.
- The bank will not provide any TA/DA for attending the interview.
- However, shortlisted candidates will be reimbursed for second-class AC fare by the shortest route upon submission of original travel receipts.
