Director

The Harish-Chandra Research Institute (HRI) was originally established in 1975 as the Mehta Research Institute in Allahabad. Since 1992, it has functioned as a Grant-in-Aid institution under the administrative control of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. In 2000, the institute was renamed after the distinguished mathematician Professor Harish-Chandra.
