Vacancy Details

IIT Mandi is recruiting for the following positions:

1. Assistant Professor (Grade-I)

• Pay Scale: Level 12, Cell 1 (Starting Basic Pay ₹/-)
• Essential Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in the relevant branch/discipline.
  • First class in the antedating degree with a veritably good academic record throughout.
• Experience Required:
  • Minimal 3 times of post- PhD exprerince in tutoring/exploration/assiduity (banning PhD experience).

2. Assistant Professor (Grade-II)

• Pay Scale:
  • Level 10, Cell 14 (Starting Basic Pay: ₹84,700/-)
  • Level 11, Cell 10 (Starting Basic Pay: ₹89,900/-)
  • Level 11, Cell 11 (Starting Basic Pay: ₹92,600/-)
• Essential Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in the relevant branch/discipline.
  • First class in the antedating degree with a veritably good academic record throughout.
• Experience Required:
  • Fresh Ph.D. holders or campaigners with lower than 3 times of post-PhD experience.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines.
• First-class in Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (if applicable).
• Strong research and teaching potential.

Age Limit

• As per Government of India norms. Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD candidates.

Reservation Policy

• SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD candidates will get reservation benefits as per Government of India rules.
• Valid caste/disability certificates must be uploaded during application.

Pay Scale & Benefits

• Assistant Professor (Grade-I): ₹1,01,500/- (Level 12, Cell 1)
• Assistant Professor (Grade-II): ₹84,700/- to ₹92,600/- (Level 10-11)
• Additional allowances and benefits as per 7th CPC norms.
• Research grants, accommodation (on payment basis), and travel reimbursement for interview.
