Educational Qualification & Experience

Candidates must possess qualifications such as Matriculation, ITI, B.Sc., B.Com., or Postgraduate degrees, depending on the post applied for. A minimum of 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience is mandatory for all roles.

For example:

  • Accountant: Graduate/Postgraduate with CA/ICWA (Inter) and 3 years of experience.
  • Hindi Translator: Postgraduate qualification in Hindi with a minimum of three years’ experience in translation work.
  • Technicians: ITI or B.Sc. with 3 years’ field-specific experience.
  • Stenographer: Graduate with certification in shorthand and typing.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age Limit: 30 years as of 20 May 2025
  • Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government rules for reserved categories including SC/ST/OBC-NCL, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and others.

Selection Process

The selection procedure involves multiple stages:

  1. Screening of Applications
  2. Written Test (100% weightage, conducted in Nagpur)
    • Cut-off: UR/OBC/EWS – 50%, SC/ST – 45%, PwD – as per Govt. guidelines
  3. Document Verification
  4. Skill/Trade Test (Qualifying only)

The final merit list will be based solely on the performance in the written test (after qualifying skill/trade tests where applicable).

Reservation and Relaxations

MECL will implement reservation policies for various categories in line with Government of India directives. Candidates must produce valid and current certificates to claim any reservation or relaxation.

Special relaxations include:

  • Up to 10–15 years for PwD candidates
  • Up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates
