The National Water Development Agency (NWDA), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, invites applications from eligible officers for the post of Director (Multi-Disciplinary Unit – MDU). The post will be filled on a deputation basis, including short-term contract, at NWDA Headquarters in New Delhi. Pay Scale / Salary

Eligibility Criteria

Officers from the following sectors are eligible:

• Central/State Governments
• PSUs
• Autonomous/Statutory Bodies
• Semi-Government Organizations
• Engineering Universities and R&D Institutions

Experience Required:

• Holding analogous post on regular basis OR
• Worked for five consecutive years in Pay Level-11 of the Pay Matrix (₹67,700–2,08,700).

Educational Qualification:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
  OR
• Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or Statistics (with specialization in Hydrology)
  OR
• Postgraduate Degree in Hydrology/Water Resources

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and update hydrological and project information through NWDA’s digital platforms
• Oversee the editing and release of the Jal Vikas Magazine and NWDA’s Annual Reports.
• Monitor court cases, tenders, grievances, and vigilance matters
• Support Chief Engineer (HQ) on all MDU activities
• Coordinate e-governance modules, security audits, and web content
