RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 Notification: Apply Online for 6238 Vacancies

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially released the Centralised Employment Notification for the recruitment of Technician Grade-I Signal and various Technician Grade-III categories. A total of 6238 positions will be filled across multiple RRB zones. The online application window opens on 28 June 2025 and closes on 28 July 2025. Eligible and interested candidates are encouraged to thoroughly review the official notification before submitting their applications.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be:

• A citizen of India, or
• A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962, or
• A person of Indian origin who migrated from select countries with the intention of settling permanently in India (must have an eligibility certificate from the Government of India).

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the prescribed educational and technical qualifications from a recognized board or institution as on the closing date of application (28 July 2025). Final year students or candidates awaiting results are not eligible.

Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025)

• Technician Grade-I Signal: 18 to 33 years
• Technician Grade-III: 18 to 30 years

Age relaxation for reserved categories will be provided in accordance with government regulations.

Medical Standards

Candidates must meet the required medical fitness standards relevant to the post. Vision and physical fitness requirements vary for each category (A-3, B-1, B-2, C-1) and are detailed in the official notification.

Application Process

1. Create an Account: Candidates must create an account using valid mobile number and email ID. Details filled here cannot be modified later.
2. Online Application: Submit the application online through the respective RRB’s official website.
3. Pay Application Fee: Pay through online mode before 30 July 2025.
4. Modification Window: Between 01 August and 10 August 2025, candidates can correct errors (except those filled during ‘Create an Account’ and chosen RRB).

Selection Process

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
   • Separate CBTs will be conducted for each Pay Level.
   • A penalty of 1/3 mark will be applied for every incorrect response.
   • Marks will be normalized for multi-shift exams.
2. Document Verification (DV)
3. Medical Examination

Final empanelment will be based on merit and medical fitness.

Key Guidelines

• Only one application per pay level is allowed. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification and debarment.
• Candidates must have a valid email and mobile number throughout the recruitment process.
• CBT center allocation will be based on feasibility and may require travel.
• No changes in exam center/date will be allowed.
• Candidates are advised to authenticate via Aadhaar or DigiLocker for smoother processing.
