The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially published the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025, inviting applications from eligible 10+2 (higher secondary) pass candidates across India. This highly anticipated recruitment drive is for various Group ‘C’ posts including Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the ministries and departments of the Central Government.

- Application Start Date: June 23, 2025
- Last Date to Apply Online: July 18, 2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
- Last Date for Fee Payment: July 19, 2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
- Application Correction Window: July 23 to July 24, 2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
- The Tier-I CBT is planned to take place between September 8 and September 18, 2025.A Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling here, or

Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years

- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after military service deduction
- Central Govt. For employees, the age limit is up to 40 years for General category (UR) and up to 45 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Widowed and divorced women are eligible to apply up to 35 years of age for the General (UR) category and up to 40 years for SC/ST categories.
Positions Available & Salary Structure
Recruitment under SSC CHSL 2025 will be for the following posts:
- Clerk-level roles such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC) or Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA).
- Pay Level 2: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200
- Data Entry Operator (DEO)
- Pay Level 4: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100
- Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’
- Pay Level 4/5: ₹25,500 – ₹92,300

Total Vacancies

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
Nationality
You must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who entered India prior to January 1, 1962, with the aim of establishing permanent residence, or
- An individual of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries and now plans to make India their permanent home.
Candidates (except Indian citizens) must hold an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification
As of the application closing date, applicants must have passed the 12th standard (10+2) examination or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
