Tezpur University JRF Recruitment 2025: Apply for Junior Research Fellow Post in DBT-Sponsored Project

Tezpur University has opened applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a DBT-supported project titled “Xyloglucan remodelling enzymes as potential targets for enhancing crop performance.” and biomass improvement.” The research work will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sunita Kushwah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. Vacancy Details

• Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
• Number of Positions: One (01)
• Appointment Type: Temporary, project-based
• Duration: Initially for six months; may be extended based on performance and project requirements. The position is co-terminus with the project.

Salary / Emoluments

• First and Second Year: Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA (as per rules)
• Third Year (Senior Research Fellow level): Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree Candidates must hold an M.Sc. or an M.Tech degree in any of the relevant areas listed below:

• Molecular Biology
• Biotechnology
• Bioinformatics
• Life Sciences
• Botany

Additional Qualification (any one of the following):

1. Qualified in CSIR/UGC NET (including for Assistant Professorship) or GATE
2. Qualified in a national-level examination conducted by government agencies such as DBT, ICAR, or ICMR
